Jody and Cosme Partnership Update Summer 2025

Springing into Summer~

This has truly been an amazing spring and summer, serving as staff members and walking alongside many families in the YWAM Rancho Abierto Family DTS (Discipleship Training School)! Some of our most powerful teachings have been Identity in Christ, The Gospel, Friendship with Jesus and The Father Heart of God~ True Sonship. These have been especially impactful for both the DTS families and for us as a couple! Families have come to understand the blessing of walking in true sonship, unconditional love and acceptance and how to better love and prefer each other. That through and because of this love, we’re all called to be representatives of the Father's love to others. We've seen people breaking free from living with an orphan spirit and others finding freedom from being disconnected from God’s love and from each other, despite professing faith. Many have been restored and released into the inheritance that Father God has for them as a whole family; they’ve experienced breakthrough and overcoming obstacles to walk into greater healing and identity. Parents and children have been through faith-building trials, tears, and pain to find healing and forgiveness on the other side. Living in joy as the foundation of true ‘hesed’ has been a life-changing process and entails loyal steadfast love and mercy while serving one another with faithful loving kindness. This has deepened relational bonds and strengthened a compassionate community to better live, love and serve together. What an honor to play a part in this restoration story.

Costa Rica~ Rekindling Friendships and Building New Futures!

Out of the 100 of us at Rancho Abierto, we divided into four outreach teams to minister in different countries—Philippines, Argentina, Colombia, Mexico and Costa Rica. Across these countries, we witnessed God at work in powerful ways: lives surrendered to Christ, hearts stirred to walk more deeply with Him through discipleship, and even testimonies of physical healings. Each story reminds us that His love reaches far beyond borders, and we are humbled to be part of what God is doing around the world. We were in Cosme’s home country of Costa Rica and it was a time filled with joy, reconnection and vision for the future! We visited churches, ministries and YWAM bases along with spending time in his hometown of Turrialba. We also forged new partnerships with several churches and ministries throughout the country! We’re currently working with a pastor who was actually a dear friend from Cosme’s youth group days and we’ve already begun planning their family camp—Oasis Family Camp Guanacaste—coming February 2026! What a beautiful reminder of how God weaves relationships across decades for His purposes. And that’s just the beginning. In 2026 we’ll be hosting four family camps, three in Costa Rica and one in Guatemala, just to start. We’re inviting churches and groups to let us help you plan your missions trip as we invite you to join us in making a real impact in 2026. Costa Rica is breathtaking, yet nearly 1 in 4 people live below the poverty line. Families in slums, indigenous tribes in the Talamancas, local churches and children at risk all need the hope of Christ and practical love in action. ✨ Clear Vision: Family Camps in 2026 + new missions opportunities—and YOU can be part of it!
